You can find thousands of “ready-made websites” online for under $20. They look nice and promise, “You can change everything you want.” But in reality, this is precisely what turns a website into a slow, cumbersome, and inconvenient tool. Let me explain why.

It’s important to understand that a website is code. The simpler and less code, the faster it works. A website created for a specific company doesn’t contain unnecessary features – but you don’t need to change everything. The developers write everything they need, taking everything into account. And why change it? The design is tailored to your needs. The end result is a fast, beautiful, and unique website.
Returning to the question of ready-made websites.
The appearance is already set. But you can change anything you want. That’s the problem. To allow you to do this without understanding code, you need to write a lot of code. As I wrote at the beginning, the less, the better.
Let’s figure out why you need a website. Most likely, to attract customers. You’d like to have more of them and keep them happy. But initially, by buying ready-made templates, you’re doing the opposite.
What’s the solution?
Imagine you’re buying a car. You have several options:
- Order a custom model. It’s created to suit your needs, without unnecessary details, with the desired characteristics. It’s more expensive, but it’s perfect for you—like a turnkey website.
- Buy a generic one with buttons for changing everything. If you want to change the body—go ahead, the engine—you can too. But for that, hundreds of mechanisms are built in, making the car heavier, more complex, and slower. Yes, it’s cheaper, but it performs worse, breaks down more often, and ultimately looks like everyone else’s. The final price goes up just “to drive.” Maintaining such a car is very expensive.
The same goes for websites: you can choose a template that offers the illusion of freedom, or create a tool that works clearly, quickly, and meets your real-world needs.
